Turn discovery notes into scoping questions

Prioritise the unanswered discovery questions that could change effort, price, schedule or delivery risk.

Supply discovery notes, transcripts, buyer requirements or an early brief. Add the estimate deadline and likely pricing model if known.

Overview

Use discovery material to identify what needs resolving before you commit to an estimate. The review focuses on unknowns that could change the work, resource needs, price, schedule or allocation of risk.

The output is a prioritised set of buyer questions, with the reason for each and the effect of different answers. Where answers will not arrive before the estimate is due, it provides working assumptions to state in the proposal.

Key capabilities

  • Distinguishes confirmed requirements from assumptions and unknowns
  • Ranks questions by their effect on the estimate
  • Explains what each answer would change and who is likely to know
  • Drafts explicit working assumptions for unanswered questions
  • Identifies conflicting requirements, statements and constraints
