Art of the Deal
IN THIS SECTION
Deals are the core of Estii. They represent each revenue opportunity or budget managed within your space. This section provides all the information you need to manage, estimate, price, and publish deals.
Introduction

This article introduces the deal hierarchy and the key concepts for estimating, pricing and presenting deals
Deal pipeline

The deal pipeline is the central dashboard for all the deals in your space.

Pipeline forecasts provides detailed revenue and resourcing insights across your active deals.
Deal management

A step-by-step guide to creating a new deal

The deal page is where you manage the content, lifecycle and output of a deal. It includes a visual summary of the overall deal value, size and activity.

A Phase is a subset of a deal containing price, scope and schedule for a set of features

Payment milestones describe your expected payment structure based on deliverables, due dates and price. They are visualised as a waterfall chart in exported proposals
Estimation
Each phase contains estimated features and overheads that determine the maximum effort and price of the phase.

Features are time-based estimates based on requirements/deliverables

Overheads are additional resources that are allocated for the duration of the phase

Services are recurring unit-based estimates (products) whose total price updates based on phase duration

Expenses are one-off, unit-based estimates (products) associated with a phase.
Pricing
Once you have added some estimates to a phase, you can adjust the final price by modifying the scope, schedule or rate card used in the phase.

Scope is the editable breakdown of price by priority, feature and stream.

Schedule is the estimated duration and resourcing plan required to deliver the current scope
Presenting
Once you have finalised your pricing, it is time to package and share a proposal with external users.

A Presentation is the final, branded slides that are presented to external users. Learn how to set up the templates, generate proposals and share them with guests.

Themes are style guide templates that are used to brand deal presentations

The deal viewer is a standalone portal for invited guests to view the final, approved deal
