Imports, search and quality of life

Sep 30, 2026

A collection of customer-requested improvements across imports, deal search, Library drift, rounding, exports and developer tools.

Overview

A lot of small things that make Estii easier to work with day to day.

  • Search across your entire pipeline, including archived deals and templates.
  • Import multiple files of items and estimates at once, with better role mapping and clearer handling of existing content.
  • See Library drift more clearly, including which Library content is still unchanged.
  • Timeline resources now show total work days alongside peak FTE.
  • Recurring estimates now use the same half-day rounding as one-off work.
  • Spreadsheet exports now include item IDs for easier mapping.
  • Faster, more accurate deal imports with improved classification and summaries.
  • Cleaner CLI and MCP commands for working with deal and phase templates.

We've finally added a search box to the pipeline page, so you can search across all your deals, including archived deals and deal templates.

Multi-file estimate import

You can now import multiple files of items and estimates into a deal at once.

We've also made the import process more flexible when bringing content into an existing deal. You can map roles and resources from your files to ones already in the deal, and Estii now shows where imported content will replace something that already exists before you continue.

Clearer Library drift

We've refined how Library drift is calculated to make changes easier to compare.

Library content that hasn't changed from its source now gets a green Library icon, making it easy to distinguish unchanged content from items that have been modified.

We've also cleaned up the commercial health view in the approval dialog. Coverage, drift and margin are easier to read, with new tooltips explaining what each measure represents.

Timeline resource totals

The resource panel on the deal timeline now shows both peak FTE and total work days for each phase and resource.

This gives you the two useful views of the same plan: how much capacity you need at once, and how much work is involved overall.

Rounding adjustments

Recurring estimates now round up to the nearest half day, matching the way one-off estimates are already handled.

This keeps proposal quantities clean and ensures days × rate matches the total.

We've also renamed Schedule rounding to Rounding adjustment, with a clearer breakdown of what was rounded and why.

Some existing deals with recurring estimates may increase very slightly in price, by less than half a day per role, per phase.

Deal import improvements

We've made several improvements to the AI deal importer.

Unexpected content is classified more reliably, import summaries are clearer, and we've updated the underlying models for faster and more accurate imports.

Spreadsheet exports

Spreadsheet exports now include item IDs on the estimates sheet.

This makes it easier to map estimates back to their parent items when using exported deal data in your own tools and workflows.

CLI and MCP

We've tidied up how templates are handled through the CLI and MCP:

  • phase-templates now has dedicated commands for fully managing phase templates, not just reading them.
  • Deal templates are now accessed through the existing deal commands using the --templates flag.
  • The old templates commands, which mixed deal and phase templates together, have been retired.

Also fixed a few small CLI issues, including deal prices showing the wrong currency symbol and unclear errors when a deal or snapshot name was too long.

Anything getting in your way?

A lot of these improvements came directly from customer requests. One customer told us recently that when something small gets in the way, we usually have it fixed within 24 hours. That made our week, and we'd like to keep earning that.

If there's anything we can do to make your day-to-day use of Estii a little easier, let us know.
